PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Bootcamp is a two semester immersive leadership development experience at Cedar Lake Church for young adults and working professionals committing to grow in leadership and build God’s House. Through weekly classes and practicum, you will learn Biblical leadership principles, strengthen your God-given gifts and develop skills as a Christian leader for life, ministry and the marketplace. In addition, the environment provides opportunities to establish lasting relationships within the Cedar Lake Church community with other aspiring and committed leaders.

FEATURES
Biblical Teaching
Receive teaching from The Cedar Lake Church team through 22 Monday-night sessions and participate in a group Bible Reading Plan
Hands on Experience
Serve and lead in weekly worship services and other events
Community
Participate in weekly group discussions, projects and team exercises
Personal Growth
Mentorship from the Cedar Lake Team to set personal goals and growth targets.

Heart
The church needs leaders that have a vibrant relationship with Jesus. Bootcamp puts a large focus on both the principles and practices of the Christian faith.
Soul
Healthy things grow. Our goal is to raise up leaders who are spiritually, emotionally, and physically healthy.
Mind
Students will hear a variety of teachings based around building solid theology, developing meaningful relationships, and how to effectively lead others.
Strength
There are many opportunities for students to develop skills through practical, hands on ministry experience. From serving on teams, to office hours, to extra curricular experiences; Bootcamp is full of moments for students to learn by doing.
What are classes like?
Bootcamp runs from August to April each year. Weekly classes are from 6:30-9:00p on Monday evenings. Cedar Lake Church is blessed with a diverse staff team with a wide variety of ministry backgrounds and practical skills. Pastors, staff members and a few guest speakers will teach most of the lessons.
Participants learn through a concentric curriculum that focuses on the 4 tenets of the great commandment: learning to love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength.

Mind - Bible Foundations and The Cedar Lake Church Culture

What are the commitments of Bootcamp Participants?

Jesus set the example for us as leaders by becoming a servant to all. Participating in Bootcamp means you feel called to follow His example and wholeheartedly support and agree with our Vision, Values, Statement of Faith and Community Standards, and commit to the following to fulfill the requirements for graduation:
- Arrive at least thirty minutes early for services and events.
- Attend class from 6:30-9pm on Monday nights.
- Be involved in the daily ministry activities of the church by completing at least three leadership service hours per week. (options include special events, CL Youth, outreach, office support, leading a small group, worship etc.)
- Complete all assigned reading and other assignments on time and with excellence.
- Continually look for ways to make room for others and invite/bring people to church.
- Do not miss more than two weekends and two classes each semester.
- Maintain a commitment to physical health through weekly exercise targets.
- Maintain a daily devotion and Bible reading.
- Make Bootcamp commitments and schedule a priority in your calendar and be on time for everything.
- Make Cedar Lake Church your church home where you worship, serve and do life.
- Memorize one assigned scripture each week and be tested on them.
- Participate in a graduation ceremony.
- Pay tuition as described in the program cost section of the application.
- Serve at all special events.
- Serve weekly on a ministry team during worship services.
- Value and obey the Biblical principles of tithing, stewardship and generosity.
What are the costs?
Non-refundable Application Fee: $50 (will be applied to tuition cost)
Tuition:
- $400 per person (includes both fall and spring semesters)
- $500 per married couple.
- For payment plan options email christian@cedarlake.net.
The cost includes books, class materials, snacks for class times, a t-shirt, and other program-related expenses. To complete enrollment, participants must pay the full tuition or commit to a payment plan.

Is childcare available?
We do not offer childcare nor can participants leave their children, supervised or unsupervised, on the church premises during class time.
How do I apply?
